What is it?
A FREE literary program that provides one new or gently used book per month mailed directly to your home. The program will be provided for 12 months to qualified families throughout the Greater Houston Area.
Who Qualifies?
Qualified families MUST have children between the ages of 3-12, reside in Houston or surrounding areas, have an economic hardship, or have less than 12 books in the home.
Applications will be prioritized for families that qualify for any of the following programs:
The Federal Free and Reduced Price Lunch Program, Woman, Infant and Children (WIC), Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), Section 8 (HCV) or other Housing Assistance.

Complete the application below, Please do not complete the form more than once (unless for multiple children). If you need to update the information, please email us at info@smartiekidsquad.org.
***Supplies are limited, and not all applications will be selected. You can reapply once every three months if not selected. If you are a previous Smartie Kid Squad recipient you MUST reapply with 14 days of your end date to continue the program.
